Christ House (and Kairos) provide comprehensive and compassionate care to sick, homeless men in Washington DC and assist in addressing critical issues to help break the cycle of homelessness. Christ House provides a homeless shelter with treatment for patients with chronic illness who decide to make a commitment to their own recovery.
Donald Martin, M.D., and his wife Ellen, now deceased, were an important part of Hebron’s beginning years. Donald is a brother-in-law of Ethel Martin and Mary Wilfong. Donald and Ellen moved to DC in 1982 to work at Christ House. At age 88, Donald continues to give medical care for residents at Christ House and Kairos. Each Christmas Hebron collects needed items for this ministry.
